Hi everyone, and most importantly HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sorry I haven't written in a week, I focused on my family and no technology over the Christmas period. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We did, as mentioned in a previous post it was a bit tough without Dad being around, just strange. We didn't do as many presents as previous years as we just had a holiday, but the kids still loved what they got, and we had a great day. Lunch was amazing as per usual (although I am sick of it now) I have a terrible habit of making enough food to feed an army, so we eat it for at least 2 weeks after lol, who else is guilty of making way too much on Christmas day, I always make a marmalade and peppercorn glazed ham, along with potato bake, roast potato, pavlova, sponge cake, veggies, Yorkshire puddings and prawns. If you would like any of the recipes, please let me know.  My eldest daughter went and stayed with her boyfriend's family for Christmas night and has stayed on their far...

3 SLEEPS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

Good Morning everyone! Hope your all having a good wind down week before the big man in the suit arrives.  Have you finished all your shopping? I heard on the news this morning that Australians are expected to spend over $60 BILLION!! this Christmas - I find it a bit ridiculous, my husband and I don't do it presents, it's all about the kids and Christmas is stressful enough but we would rather have a weekend getaway in the new year or a camping trip to the beach. When did Christmas become more about the latest gift and less about spending time with loved ones?  There are so many families this Christmas struggling to put food on the table, let alone buy gifts and this must be heartbreaking, we need to start focusing and teaching our kids to focus on all the things we do have instead of all the things we want - otherwise we will NEVER be satisfied! Have a fantastic Thursday everyone X
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!! Only 4 sleeps until Christmas. Are everyone's kids as excited as mine? We are having a much smaller Christmas this year as we just had an amazing holiday, and the kids just don't need more "stuff" but it will still be magical and a great day.  Although it's going to be a tough day, we lost my dad in January this year and as much as we want to have a fantastic day filled with joy and memory for him it's still hard, he won't be there handing the presents to the kids, we can't give him a hug and say Merry Christmas, its heartbreaking having someone your whole life and then one year their gone....... So, to everyone complaining about this year's family reunion or the annoying uncle, give them an extra hug this Christmas because you don't know who will be around the table next year maybe new faces, but some may not be there anymore, and you would give anything for 1 more stupid Dad joke.  I miss him every day but this Christmas wi...
Good Morning Everyone!!! Sorry I have been MIA for a week or so. Guess what we moved house!! How exciting, I am so much happier and its beautiful out in the countryside! My daughter has been 100% better now she doesn't have easy access to town, so I am winning! I also flew to the Gold Coast on Friday and drove Mum down so I am super stoked to have Mum here for Christmas - even though it will be our first Christmas without Dad we are going to try our best to celebrate and remember all the great Christmas's we spent together.  Also, I signed up to a family's training program I have been following for a while now so feeling very excited to get started. I have set myself a 12-month goal to be able to leave work and travel indefinitely whilst running my own online business, I know it will be hard work and there will be plenty of ups and downs, but I cannot wait! Hope your all having an excellent Christmas week and having a break over the festive period!
Morning all, I am feeling a bit down today, life kicking my butt I suppose.  We had a beautiful holiday a few weeks ago which we saved for a long time to be able to go on so I count my blessings.  Then when we got home we were told we need to move ASAP due to the owner wanting the house back, it was a blessing as I want to get my daughter out of the town we are in and the real estate found us a beautiful long term rental out of town but now it has taken all our savings we had left after our holiday and 2 weeks prior to Christmas.  So I am at work concentrating on earning money but today just sucks, and that's ok we are allowed to have sucky days and I know we will be ok but right now, today sucks.......
Life with a teenage daughter.  The last 4 months have been a rollercoaster!!  In September my 13-year-old was a lovely young girl, she loved snowboarding, had a little job, good grades, great attendance and played on the local football team. I was constantly praised on her exceptional manners and willingness to help others.  Then in October we had to move as our rental had been sold to owner occupiers. We decided fuel wise it would be beneficial to move into town instead of living rurally.  A bit of background my eldest daughter has always suffered a bit with anxiety and pleasing others. She has a huge heart and takes everything personally so has always been targeted by bullies.  We moved to the new town during the school holidays and a local organization had activities for her age group every day, so I thought what a fantastic opportunity for her to meet some new people. How wrong I was.......  Fast forward 2 months later and she associates with the ...
Well, where do I start, life is great but my goodness it can kick you in the butt regularly! I plan on blogging every day because it's like a diary that everyone can read and hopefully maybe help someone or encourage someone that may be struggling or show people things can be great even if they have been awful. In saying that, this blog will be my longest as I have to introduce my whole life thus far to you......after this one I just want to discuss my daily challenges, wins and losses and hopefully inspire other people out there.  I am 34 years old; I have a wonderful husband (even though we have our days) and 2 beautiful daughters (one of which is pushing me every day)  I am a marketing consultant and am finally happy in a man's world (hopefully things are changing for the better). I was born in New Zealand which was a whole thing, my amazing mother had 2 children before me and when she had my sister they tied her tubes during an emergency c-section as it was too dange...
